Oyster Worldwide – Conservation volunteering in New Zealand

Volunteer in this beautiful and diverse country and help with local projects aimed to improve the environment and protect native species. Volunteer with up to 10 others under the guidance of a project team leader in remote, rural and urban locations.

There is availability throughout the year starting on Fridays

What’s it all about?

Volunteers can chose from one of 3 gateway cities which include Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch. From here, travel out to local communities and become part of a team helping with tasks such as seed collection, weed control, beach clean ups, tree planting, walkway construction and habitat and heritage restoration.

You can volunteer throughout the year from 1 – 12 weeks with the exception of the weeks surrounding Christmas. Whilst late-availability is possible, we would advise booking as soon as possible to guarantee your ideal dates.

Accommodation and three meals a day are provided during volunteer time and during the weekends in between volunteering. All transport to project sites is included.
