Plan My Gap Year (PMGY) is an award-winning international volunteer placement organisation based in the UK. We provide the world’s most affordable, need-driven and supportive short-term programs for students looking to volunteer in Sri Lanka.

Volunteers get involved in a wide-range of project work including childcare, English teaching, medical electives, elephant & turtle conservation.

Where – Ambalangoda, Sri Lanka When – Our programmes run year-round and have 2 start dates every month (1st & 3rd Saturday) How Long – The opportunities are available for 1-12 weeks How Much – Programme Fees start from just £200 for 1 week and covers your airport pickup, meals, accommodation, local transport and support from our in-country teams. Age Requirements – 17+ on programme start date

Our structured programs create the perfect platform for you to see the world, meet like-minded people and engage in meaningful volunteering work. We have teams throughout our local destinations who will support you 24/7. Furthermore, every project is regularly risk-assessed by our management team to ensure our set up is safe and that our volunteers are making a positive impact in the community. There is also a great social element to our opportunities.

PMGY are an ATOL Licensed, DofE Approved Activity Provider and all our programmes qualify for the DofE Residential scheme.
