A 1 week hands-on educational experience for 16-17 year olds, which qualifies as a Gold DofE Residential during October half term. It’s based on the Greek island of Kefalonia, learning about the conservation of sea turtles, birds and ecosystems.
You will get involved in a range of conservation activities including harbour turtle surveys, national park survey, bird surveys, and a litter clean-up. These are accompanied by conservation presentations.
You’ll be living in a resort by the sea with stunning beaches close by. You can join this project with friends. You’ll have free time to enjoy island life and explore the local coastal area and town.
Join a group of like-minded volunteers on this supported trip, accompanied by dedicated team leaders from the UK.
Take part in the amazing work being done to help save the sea turtles of Greece from extinction and help protect Kefalonia’s natural ecosystems.
