Raleigh Expedition to Nepal – Gold Residential

Raleigh Expedition is an international volunteering programme that has over 37 years experience of delivering safe, responsible, and life-changing programmes for 17–24-year-olds. You will work on sustainable development projects in remote communities and partner with host country volunteers to ensure long-lasting impact.

Expedition is an outdoor education, an opportunity to develop personally, enhance your employability and improve your academic performance when you get to university or college. The programme supports young people to develop essential teamwork, leadership, intercultural learning, and active citizenship skills and knowledge; the foundation for young people to fulfil their potential and become future leaders.

Volunteer in the world’s highest country and work with local communities to experience Nepal’s rich history and vibrant culture. You will be living in the foothills of the Himalayas, a landscape of colourful temples dotted among terraced paddy fields and incredible mountain scenery. As a volunteer, you will become a part of rural life in Nepal, as you support young people to drive change for their communities and improve facilities.
• Join forces with local people still affected by the impact of the 2015 earthquake to improve access to water, sanitation, and hygiene facilities.
• Live in a Himalayan community and be exposed to a unique and amazing culture.
• Challenge and equip yourself with new skills by trekking through the spectacular Ruby Valley. You and your team will take charge and make your way climbing up to 2500m – a unique challenge to boost your leadership abilities, team working skills and resilience.

We run 5, 7 and 10 week Expedition to Nepal in Spring, Summer and Autumn. You can find all our dates here: https://raleighinternational.org/volunteer/#dates
