One and quarter hours on Saturday 1.15 to 2.30 pm. Lead horses/ponies or walk at side. Full training is given and mentored at first stage. Chance to learn how to put on saddle and bridle before lesson. Also arena duties, such as putting out bending poles.

Not necessary to come every week as there may be occasions when you need to do alternative activity for your award. This is the volunteering activity.

Rides take place at Catterick Garrison Saddle Club, Loos Road, Catterick, North Yorkshire. Indoor arena so not weather-dependent.
