Reading Hack is a programme led by young people aged 13 to 24 who do reading activities and volunteering, called hacks, to gain skills and experience. Reading Hack is supported by The Reading Agency, a charity which aims to give everyone an equal chance in life by helping people become confident and enthusiastic readers.

Where: Your local library
Reading Hack is a youth-led programme, so it’s up to you how you spend your volunteering time. You might organise a spoken word night in your local library, plan and film a book trailer, read with children during the school holidays or even start up and run your own Reading Hack group. Speak to your local library about the different volunteering options available.
