Restless Development is delighted to offer a volunteering opportunity for Bronze, Silver and Gold Award participants.
Restless Development is a non profit global agency that supports the collective power of young leaders to create a better world. We train, mentor and nurture young people in Africa and Asia to help them tackle some of the issues their communities face. These include, combating the effects of climate change, securing equal access to education and developing employability skills.
The Schools Triathlon is our largest fundraising event that sees thousands of children swim, cycle and run to raise money for young people across the world. The Schools Triathlon sees children achieve something remarkable whilst raising hundreds of thousands of pounds of life-changing funds that goes towards making the world a better place. Last year we ran 7 events at different host schools across the South-East and South-West of England.
We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help in the run-up to the event as well as on the day of the one of the Schools Triathlon events. We ask that you are able to attend a Triathlon event at one of the following schools:
Royal Russell School, Croydon – 23rd April 2023
Clifton College, Bristol – 7th May 2023
Charterhouse School, Surrey – 7th May 2023
Oundle School, Peterborough – 14th May 2023
Marlborough College, Wiltshire – 21st May 2023
Bradfield College, Reading – 21st May 2023
Cranleigh School, Guildford – 21st May 2023
Activities in the lead up to the event will include sessions on what Restless Development is and where we work, help with social media content, using existing networks to help recruit volunteers, creating partnerships and an option to fundraise for the charity. This is a diverse opportunity that aims to grow pupils skills and confidence in a range of different areas related to non-profit fundraising and events.
