Rich Adventure – Reduced Mobility Gold Walking – July/Aug 2023

This expedition is aimed at participants with disabilities or medical conditions who are unable to complete their expedition in remote environments with a lot of physically strenuous journeying.

We also welcome those who require more rest breaks, lighter rucksacks and other adaptions such as smoother terrain. There will still be 8 hours of planned activity each day, most of which will be away from camp. A big part of the challenge will be supporting other team members- learning about each other’s conditions and what can be done to help each other along the way.

Our core staff have first responder qualifications and are able to offer a higher level of support than an outdoor first aider. We also have a good understanding of a lot of medical conditions and how things like chronic fatigue, blood sugar management or hypermobility effect participants in the expedition environment. We’re here to support teams to make the expedition a challenge, but one that is achievable without unnecessary pain or causing long term damage.
