Saltscape Project – Conservation & Countryside Volunteers – Cheshire

We are looking for enthusiastic local champions to help improve over 1000 hectares of beautiful grasslands, woodlands and wetlands in the heart of Cheshire!

You can join an interesting mix of local groups, national organisations and community members who are working together as part of the Saltscape project to enhance, restore and protect a collection of rare wildlife and habitats in mid-Cheshire.

You don’t need to have any previous experience of conservation, just a willingness to get stuck in and the enthusiasm to be in the great outdoors all day.

We will help you to develop practical conservation skills in a unique setting. One day you could be learning the traditional arts of hedge laying and coppicing and the next day cutting back reed beds and removing invasive species.

If you like the sound of getting outdoors, learning practical skills and helping to protect the environment get in touch with Sarah at [email protected] / 01606 723 160
