DofE Gold Residential is Season It Cookery in the beautiful French Alps.
After the stress of exams, and expeditions you’ll be accommodated at our luxurious Chalet Pomet which is also the venue for the chalet hosting and cookery course. With only 10 students per course you’ll be cooking delicious dishes for each other in no time. Our amazing chef and host team Sally and Oli will look after you during your stay, and you’ll work together as a team learning some fantastic cookery techniques and recipes along with important life and customer service skills. This is the perfect residential if you’re thinking of working a ski or yacht season, heading off to university or simply a lovely choice for the residential component of the Gold Award.
No experience is necessary and we supply all the equipment and ingredients. There’s some spare time allocated for you to enjoy the amazing alpine scenery, we can organise a group white water rafting session, treetop climbing course and even an electric mountain bike tour. Our very popular course has a lovely team atmosphere where everyone can shine. Don’t forget your swimming gear to enjoy our hot tub overlooking the mountains! There’s also a beautiful swimming lake with a sandy beach just a 20 minute walk from the chalet.
What’s included? 6 nights accommodation at Chalet Pomet, all food and drink, return airport transfers from Geneva, recipe manual and hosting booklet. You’ll just need to arrange your flights as these aren’t included, but EasyJet offer year round cheap flights to Geneva our closest airport just an hour away.
We act as your DofE assessor during your stay and will upload the report to your eDofE file completion. There’s also an opportunity to take your level 2 Food and Safety NVQ while you are with us.
