This online Python coding course is for attendees looking to take their first steps in learning to code, or looking to improve on existing coding skills.
The course introduces attendees to Python – a powerful, modern programming language with a gentle learning curve. Python makes it possible to write short programs quickly, making it an ideal first programming language before the learner progresses onto more advanced coding topics.
Python also has a wide range of pre-built libraries, making it amenable for building larger projects in a wide variety of arenas including computer games, machine learning, scientific applications and business. Creating software with Python is limited only by the programmer’s imagination.
Sessions are held weekly and are led by a LIVE! tutor in an online classroom, where the tutor is able to provide attendees guidance in real-time, along with progress reviews during the sessions.
This course is available to start anytime during the year, and participants of all abilities are welcome from beginners who have never written a line of code, through to participants with prior coding experience.
Note that all of our Duke of Edinburgh courses offer the option to pay fees in monthly instalments.
At the end of the course, attendees will receive a Spark4Kids certificate and a Skills Assessor report which will be submitted to the Duke of Edinburgh towards your eventual skills award.
