Our SUPing, Canoeing & Kayaking residential lets you try out different outdoor activities while our experienced staff help you step beyond your comfort zone. You will learn new skills and make new friends en route to completing your Gold award.

Having a Gold Residential run over two weekends is a new DofE initiative that is being trialled up until 31st October 2023.
Our experienced British Canoeing coaches will be on hand to help you to achieve your greatest potential.
There’s a large selection of paddle sports craft and equipment for you to use including playboats, sea kayaks, SUPs, touring canoes and slalom kayaks. Once you’ve built up your confidence paddling on our sheltered lake, there will be a few journeys on the River Thames. At the end of the week, you should have gained both the new British Canoeing Paddle Start award and the new British Canoeing Paddle Discover Award. If you come to the course with a range of good confident paddling skills already, you will have the opportunity to be assessed for the new British Canoeing Paddle Explore award.

You will stay in tents on our picturesque site beside the River Thames and all food will be provided. Meals are provided in the main hall, a short walk from the tents.
