This is a 12 week course introducing the benefits of yoga for building strength, stamina, flexibility, concentration, relaxation and sleep. This is for anybody who wants to try a new physical activity or is looking for the perfect balance to team sport, individual pursuit or academic demands. Each class introduces a theme and guides you through physical postures, breathing and relaxation techniques. We also explore the anatomical aspects of each pose, how to adapt postures to our individual differences and learn some Sanskrit names. The breathing and relaxation techniques will touch on the science behind them and how to best use them in everyday life.
