With knowledge checks along the way to help you remember the tips you’ve learned and opportunities to produce evidence for your e-DofE account, it is extremely popular with all our U:Bee community.
Essential Cooking Part Two carries on this simple-to-follow cooking course; building your skills and showing you how adaptable core ingredients can be. You will find recipes to enjoy and tips to make you independent when you are cooking for yourself: creating a future of tasty, healthy eating on a budget.

At the end of your six month course you will receive your U:Bee Completion Certificate and Assessor’s Report, for your DofE Skills Section.
This course is ideal for anyone with an interest in cooking, becoming more independent and moving on to the next stage of their life, entertaining, nutrition and household budgeting.

HOW DOES THIS COURSE HELP ANYONE WORKING TO ACHIEVE THEIR SKILLS SECTION?
The course is provided by U:Bee Online who are a licensed Skills Section Approved Activity Provider (AAP) for The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award. This means the courses we offer can fulfil all the requirements of the skills section at Bronze or Silver Level. Choose the correct length of course you need from our selection of three or six month long courses.

HOW IS THE COURSE DELIVERED?
The course material is delivered over a six month period into your online U:Bee Learners Dashboard. The course material is informative and encourages you to do your own personal research and practice. You will also be encouraged to listen to the U:Bee #BeTheBestYouCanBe Podcast and read the U:Bee online magazine, BUZZ.

WILL I RECEIVE THE INFORMATION I NEED FOR MY e-DofE?
Yes! When you enrol for the course you will be provided with all the information you need to complete your e-DofE. On completion, you will be given an Assessor’s Report and a Completion Certificate.

Remember – U:Bee Online is a licensed AAP, so the courses meet the high-quality standards required by The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award BUT you should always check with your Leader or Teacher that they are happy with your choice.

WHEN CAN I START?
Today! As soon as you enrol you can begin your skills section.

WILL I NEED TO SPEND MORE MONEY TO FINISH THIS COURSE?
You can finish the course and not spend any extra money. As this is a cooking course you will have to buy ingredients but we always aim to make these dishes part of your family menu. We give you lots of ideas about places to find free information and resources.

DO I NEED PERMISSION TO START THIS COURSE?
If you are 16+years, No! If you are under 16, Yes! You must be 13+years to take part in U:Bee Online Courses. Your parent or responsible adult will have to tick to say they agree to you doing the course if you need the permission of an adult.

WHAT IF I DON’T LIKE THE COURSE?
