Assistive Technology Volunteering (Inverness)
From now until June 2017 we are looking for people aged between the ages of 16 and 25, to work on an assistive technology project. This project is being run at Cheshire House Inverness and is funded by Young Start (Big Lottery Fund).
The project, with the help of volunteers, works to increase residents and day service users’ access to a vast array of different technologies; such as; iPhones, Kindles, computers and digital cameras. You could help a resident contact family members using Skype, catch up with old friends on Facebook, shop online for their groceries, trace family history on ancestry sites, watch their favourite videos on YouTube or even help create a scrapbook.
You and the user of the service can choose the area you want to focus on. Contact: lisa.oliver:leonardcheshire.org
