DofE Business and National Apprenticeship Week
This week is National Apprenticeship Week, designed to celebrate Apprenticeships and the positive impact they have on individuals, businesses and the economy.
Through our award-winning development programme for young employees DofE Business, we
work with some of the largest employers in the UK including Amey, British Gas, Royal Mail and VINCI, delivering tailored programmes which integrate into and complement existing training and apprenticeship models.
Here we hear from a former Amey and DofE Business participant, Sunil, on how doing his DofE alongside his apprenticeship helped him into the working world:
“Completing the DofE as part of my apprenticeship with Amey has definitely made me more employable, it has given me the confidence to deliver presentations, organisation and time management skills. Doing my expedition with people I hadn’t met before has helped me to build relationships with new people.”

The DofE works for businesses too, our team will work with you to create a bespoke DofE corporate programme that focuses on the needs of your business. Mel Ewell, Chief Executive at Amey says:
“We believe the DofE is incredibly important, offering young people the opportunity to experience fresh challenges and achieve new skills, whilst contributing to their local community.”
