We know that doing a DofE programme can have a huge impact on young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
DofE Leaders in schools and centres all over the UK do amazing work supporting their students to achieve their Awards.
Now we want to build a clear picture of what young people with SEND gain from doing their DofE. So, we’ve commissioned education research specialists Chrysalis Research to conduct research on our behalf.
If you’re a DofE Manager, Leader or Co-ordinator working with young people with SEND, we need your help to make sure we hear from as many voices as possible.
What we need you to do
We’re asking you to act as a champion of this research by inviting others to give their views through short, anonymous surveys.
This includes students, relevant staff in your school or centre, participating students’ parents and any former students who did their DofE during their time with you.
The surveys can be completed at any time between now and the end of December 2019 — whenever works best for you.
We’ve prepared short template invitations that you can use when sharing the surveys – feel free to adapt them as you like.
