The DofE Card gives all DofE Participants, Leaders and Volunteers, and Parents of Participants a great discounted rate in five fantastic retailers in-store and online, for being part of the DofE network.
Each of the retailers has their own specialisms and we have agreed on a discount that offers the best value they can each offer.

You will need to show your DofE Card or Digital DofE Card at the till at the DofE recommended retailers in order to claim your discount or input the online code at GOOutdoors.co.uk, Blacks.co.uk, Millets.co.uk, Ultimateoutdoors.com and Tiso.com
For GOOutdoors.co.uk, you will need the online code as well as your unique barcode.
These codes can be found on the back of the Card.
How to use your DofE Card?
In-store: Show your Card at the till in any of the recommended stores.
Online: At GOOutdoors.co.uk
- Enter your membership number in the ‘Membership number’ box
- Enter your online discount code in the ‘voucher’ box
- Enter your online discount code in the ‘voucher’ box
- To register for your DofE Card, log into your eDofE account online or via the DofE app
- Click through where it says ‘Register for your DofE Card’ and fill out your details
- Once you’ve submitted your request, you’ll receive a confirmation email from GO Outdoors within 30 minutes with your new Digital Card
- You should then receive your new blue recycled Physical DofE Card within 15 working days in the post
Participants – If you’re in Northern Ireland, the secure estate, or have an overseas home address, your Leader will give you your Welcome Pack.
Once you receive your email and/or recycled plastic card, just take to the till or input online to get your exclusive DofE discount (T&Cs apply).
How to digitally download the DofE Card:
Option 1 (eDofE):
- Login to eDofE.
- Click the Digital DofE Card banner on the right-hand side of eDofE.
- A pop-up box will appear – click ‘Yes Please’ so you can download your Digital DofE Card.
- The Digital DofE Card will then be sent to the email address linked with your eDofE account.
Option 2 (DofE app – participants only)
- Download the DofE app which is available free from the App Store and Google Play.
- Login to the app with your eDofE details.
- Download the Digital DofE Card from the ‘DofE Card’ section on the app.

How to use your Digital DofE Card:
You have three options to use the Digital DofE Card. You can either
- Print the email you received.
- Display the email in-store.
- Add the Digital DofE Card to your mobile wallet.
In order to use your existing DofE Card at GO Outdoors, you’ll need register your Card in-store or contact [email protected] with the following information, and they’ll be able to register your Card. You’ll then be able to use it in-store or online:

Once completed please send on to [email protected] who will manually register the card within 24 hours.
Your DofE Card is personalised to you from the information you have registered on eDofE, including your name and eDofE number plus a personalised barcode unique to you.
Use the codes on the back of the Card to claim your discount in-store and online.
Every purchase you make generates a donation to the DofE charity helping more young people do their DofE.

- Please check that your address details and communications preferences are correct in eDofE.

What if I’ve lost my Card or it’s been stolen?
Leaders and volunteers
If you have lost your card or need a new one, you can download the Digital DofE Card from eDofE. It can be added to a mobile wallet, printed out or displayed on email.

If you are still eligible for the DofE Card discount but your card has expired unexpectedly, try redownloading your card to your digital wallet.

Yes, the discount applies to all purchases made in the stores and websites of GO Outdoors, Blacks, Millets, Ultimate Outdoors and Tiso.
The discount will be applied to all eligible items when you reach the checkout in the store or on a website.

Yes and no! Your DofE Card and Digital DofE Card is valid across all these retailers however, the terms and conditions depend on the store.
(Discounts below are based on the Adult DofE Card)
The 15% off* GO Outdoors for DofE Leaders and volunteers is taken off the Discount Card price, not the retail price. For example, if the retail price is £100, and the GO Outdoors Discount Card price is £90 (10% off) you will only pay £76.50 as your DofE Card gives you an extra 15% off. Just show your DofE Card at the checkout or input the online code and they will apply the total discount*. The GO Outdoors Discount Card normally costs £5 per year but having a DofE Card means you do not need to buy one. However, sale, WOW and other deals are exempt.
Blacks, Millets and Ultimate Outdoors
The 20% discount* at Blacks, Millets and Ultimate Outdoors does include reduced price items. So, when in-store use your card, or on their website enter the online code, for a further 20% off the current price and that is the price you will pay.
The 20% discount* at Tiso does not include reduced price or sale items. If you are buying a mixture of sale and non-sale items, the DofE discount will be applied to all eligible items.

Does the discount apply to the retail price or Discount Card price in GO Outdoors?
The DofE discount for participants is an extra 10% off the Discount Card price at GO Outdoors. So, for a participant, if the GO Outdoors Discount Card gives 10% off a £100 purchase, you pay £90. However, with the DofE Card you get an extra 10% off the discount price, so 10% off £90 means you’ll pay just £81.
Just show your DofE Card or Digital DofE Card at the checkout and they will apply the total discount.
No, you do not have to purchase the GO Outdoors Discount Card to get the discount off the Discount Card price.
The GO Outdoors Discount Card normally costs £5, which then entitles you to purchase goods at their Discount Card price. GO Outdoors are waiving the card fee for all DofE participants and DofE Adults.
All DofE Cards used in GO Outdoors will need to be activated, as the first purchase in store for each card is unique. The card will be scanned, and you will be asked for your name and email address. You can still use your card if you do not wish to give your personal contact details.
What if I’ve been charged for the £5 GO Outdoors Discount Card?
You should not have to purchase the GO Outdoors Discount Card in order to use the DofE Card. Please email [email protected] with a picture of your receipt and they’ll be able to assist you.
The discounts apply to all purchases, whether personal or group, through all stores and websites. However, each retailer also has a group orders team who can offer quotes for larger orders which may exceed the standard DofE discount.

Am I able to take my DofE group to all stores to have kit talks and DofE group meetings?
All stores aim to offer the best advice and support possible to DofE groups and participants. Due to the wide range of store sizes and formats, the services available in-store do vary. However, most stores offer expedition kit talks either in-store or at your group location.

Yes, alumni can still use the DofE Card and Digital DofE Card.
The DofE Card and Digital DofE Card for both DofE Leaders, volunteers and Participants will remain valid until 31 December 2025.
