10 fundraising ideas to raise money for DofE

Fundraising for the DofE charity is a great way to feel involved and support more young people to complete a life-changing Award.

Over the past year we’ve seen lots of you taking on our challenge events to raise vital funds for the DofE, thank you! From taking on one of our challenge events or fundraising in your own way, there are plenty of ways to raise money.

So whether you’re a lifelong DofE supporter or you’ve just achieved your Award, here are our top 10 fundraising ideas to support the DofE.

Host a bake sale

Invite your friends and family along to try your homemade goods and raise money for a good cause!

Organise a quiz night

Give your colleagues or friends the chance to show off their knowledge of current affairs, music, history, books, general knowledge and sport.

Lead a fun run or walk

Encourage participants canto raise sponsorships to take part.

Wash cars

Got a sponge and a free afternoon? Why not fundraise by washing your neighbours’ cars?

Introduce collection tins

Whether it’s at your local sports club or in the office, you’ll be surprised at how much loose change could be lying around!

Get crafty

Sell your homemade goods either in-person or you could set up an Etsy or eBay page.

Host a raffle

We’re all guilty of holding on to more than we need, why not host a raffle? It’s a great way to have a clear out and raise money for a good cause!
