Debbie Hatfield

At school I completed the bronze award, then went straight on to complete the Gold award. This experience has shaped my life.
The pride my mum and I felt when we went to Clarence House to get the Gold Award from the Duke of Edinburgh himself was absolutely amazing and has stayed in my heart.
The DofE award went onto my C. V. when applying for jobs, and made a difference on what I was offered. I learnt how to play tennis as part of it, & still play now! It also gave me empathy from the charitable work I carried out.
Now my daughter is 14, and she will start her work for this timeless award. It is still so very relevant and current all these later.

Thankyou and God Bless HRH The Duke of Edinburgh. He leaves an amazing legacy that I am lucky enough to be part of. xx
