Heather Chapman

I started my relationship the DofE scheme when I was at school and 14 - 15 years old. I was in the first cohort to do DofE at my school. We did several camping trips and of course hiking. For the service part I seem to recall visits to Police stations and talks about forensics and best of all a visit to the "black museum" - City police I think. My skill was covered by needlework. I still have my record book.

So where did this all lead ...

I am a Chemistry teacher, enjoy needle craft hobbies and regularly go camping (glamping!) for my holidays. I am involved with the DofE scheme at school as an assessor and leader.

So I think it's fair to say that the award scheme has impacted my life in many ways.
