Gold Award in 1961 with mountain rescue as specialist project while at RAF St Athan.
Had the honour to be in the Welsh mountains with the Duke and Sir John Hunt. It was a laugh a minute, a memory I will take to my grave.
Later received my Gold from himself and our Queen at the Palace, a wonderful experience.
Not just a great man also a great human being.
He will be greatly missed.
