70 years. Millions of adventures. Since 1956, generations have inspired, challenged and transformed themselves through The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award (DofE).
To mark our 70th anniversary, we’re creating a digital scrapbook – and we’re collecting stories to fill it. Old friends, new faces, current participants, proud parents, valued volunteers and Leaders: this is your space. Every story matters. From epic treks to transformative volunteering experiences, from camping fails to lasting friendships – we want to hear it.
With your help we want to tell DofE’s story across the decades – particularly between 1950 and 1980. Add your proudest memory (or your most memorable mishap!) and encourage your Leaders, parents and expedition mates to do the same.
Let’s celebrate DofE at 70!
Spotlighted stories
We support young people to take on their own challenges, follow their passions and discover talents they never knew they had. Whatever their ability, interest or background, DofE can be adapted for them. It’s a trusted way for any young person to turn the things they love into essential skills that can help them to get a job, change their community and take on anything life throws their way.
