The next steps
Thank you for completing the Introduction to DofE Young Leaders Programme Session and taking your first steps with the DofE Young Leaders Programme.
It’s important that following your Introduction to DofE Young Leaders Programme Session that you meet with your DofE Leader to discuss:
• What activities you are going to support, when you will undertake the activity and how the DofE Leader will support you.
• What two modules you are going to book and undertake. It’s important that you agree on these with your DofE Leader before booking. These modules should support the activity you will undertake as a Young Leader.
• If you are undertaking the activity as part of your Volunteering section, please discuss this with your DofE Leader prior to starting, including who your Assessor will be, how you will meet the timescales and what your goal is.
Over the next few weeks, you will receive a badge to support your role.
It’s now time for you to select two modules to support your role. A requirement of the programme is that you undertake two modules; unfortunately, you cannot undertake more than two. When booking onto modules you will need to click ‘register’ on the booking page where it asks if you have an eDofE account as this is different to your participant account. This will then allow you to book the module via an eDofE training account. For support please click here. Please note there is no cost for these sessions. If you have any difficulties booking your modules, please contact [email protected].
Once you are getting towards the end of your programme, you need to book onto an Exit Session using your eDofE training account. Exit Sessions will be available from September 2022 until April 2023.
The purpose of this module is for Young Leaders to support preparation for the Expedition and contribution towards Expedition training rather than attend the Expedition itself.
The purpose of the module is to enable the Young Leader to support an inclusive programme for DofE participants.
The purpose of the module is to enable the Young Leader to promote the DofE in a range of methods.
