Chartered Insurance Institute – Personal Finance Skills – Online Course

The My Personal Finance Skills programme is pleased to have partnered with The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award to offer participants an opportunity to learn about personal finance skills whilst completing the Skills section of their Bronze Award.

This FREE 13-week programme is open to participants looking for an activity for the Skill section of their Bronze Award.

This self-study programme will enable participants to understand and be more competent in various areas of personal finance. Themes include: budgeting and money management, staying safe from scams, being self-employed, taxes, understanding credit, what is travel insurance, what are financial risks and much more.

Each week will require participants to complete tasks as part of the self-study programme with around 1-hour of work required.

Participants will submit their work for assessment with a member of the Personal Finance Skills team every 3 weeks so that progress can be checked, and feedback provided.

At the end of the 12 weeks, participants will need to complete an evaluation, reflection and feedback to complete the programme, essentially bringing it up to 13 weeks and in line with The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award requirements.  Upon completion, a report will be submitted to confirm your participation on the programme.

You can sign up for this programme here or simply by visiting our website for more information. You will need to make sure that you complete and return the parental & legal guardian consent form to [email protected].

This free course provided by the My Personal Finance Skills team at the Personal Finance Society (Chartered Insurance Institute Group).
