This course is for young people aged between 16 and 18 years old who are interested in learning more about zoology and conservation.
Interested in a career involving conservation and zoo-keeping? This five-day course offers a unique look at conservation efforts and animal care. Delivered in collaboration with Colchester Zoological Society at Flatford Mill in Suffolk.
Participants will start the week exploring a range of habitats at nearby nature reserves. They’ll also enjoy getting hands-on with vital conservation work.
The second half of the course offers rare behind-the-scenes visits to the zoo itself. There will be expert-led workshops on animal training, handling and zoo management as well as conservation.
If this residential course date and location don’t suit you, we run similar residentials throughout the year at our field centres across the UK.
