Open Gold Practice Expedition to Highland Perthshire
8-11 July 2024
The expedition begins at Dunkeld and Birnam Train station. Participants have the option of either making their own way to the start or getting a lift in our minibus from Glasgow, Stirling and Perth.
There are two nights of wild camping and one night in a serviced campsite. Each day of the expedition involves around 15km of walking. Underfoot we will be using tracks and footpaths, some of which will be muddy. Training on navigation skills, campcraft, route planning and team work will be provided by instructors. The expedition ends at Blair Atholl train station. Minibus transport will be available back to Perth, Stirling or Glasgow.
