Join us for a week of adventure, archaeology and history in the Surrey countryside and complete your Gold residential!
You will be taking part in a ‘ground-breaking’ archaeological dig in our nature reserve to discover and investigate historical evidence. Past excavations in the area have discovered a road network dating back thousands of years all the way to Roman times! You will be working alongside Surrey Archaeology Society to find out all about what happens on a genuine archaeological dig. You will learn new skills and techniques and dig into the past to find out more about our fascinating Roman heritage.
The week will not just be about archaeology, we will also give you the opportunity to take part in a range of exciting activities every afternoon including high ropes, climbing, archery, axe throwing and caving. Continuing the history theme, you will get the opportunity to visit our reconstructed Iron Age Roundhouse and genuine World War Two air raid shelter.
During the week you will get to know like-minded people and make new friends. The week includes all food, dormitory accommodation and all activities.
