The Civil Aviation Authority’s A Journey into Space course is a free, online programme designed for Duke of Edinburgh’s Award programme to allow you to gain knowledge about a journey to and from space and learn about the surroundings along the way.

The course covers modules including: What is space? Astronaut training and Learning about our moon. There are two activities in this course including making your own rocket as you follow a step by step guide, with the other activity making your very own moon cheese.

The modules are designed for you to gain an understanding of what it takes to start a journey into space, what space is like whilst you are up there, and how to re-enter into Earth.

This three month course counts towards your DofE Bronze, Silver and Gold Skills section and can be combined with other Civil Aviation Authority skills activities to meet longer participant timescales.
