Season It Cookery is a hands-on, immersive cooking course set in a beautiful ski chalet in the French Alps. Suitable for all abilities whether you’re preparing for university, gap years, or independent living, the course teaches essential life skills through practical, everyday cooking.
Over six days, students learn to cook with fresh, seasonal ingredients while building confidence in the kitchen and gaining a solid understanding of nutrition, budgeting, and meal planning.
The course is led by experienced chalet chefs and seasonnaires who have worked multiple ski seasons—bringing a wealth of knowledge, tips, and stories from the world of catered chalets and Alpine living. Their practical, down-to-earth approach makes cooking fun, accessible, and truly useful for life after school. Set against the stunning mountain backdrop, the chalet provides a relaxed, fun environment with opportunities to gain the level 2 food safety qualification alongside cv advice from our recruitment tutors.
Students create a range of dishes—from hearty one-pots and vegetarian meals to show-stopping dinners and crowd-pleasing desserts—while also learning about food safety, kitchen organisation, and sustainable shopping.
There’s also time to enjoy the mountains: white water rafting, explore a treetop adventure park, swim in alpine lakes, or just relax with new friends.
