If you have an interest or passion for conservation and the rewilding movement, this is the Residential for you.

The Knepp Estate is very much at the forefront of the rewilding movement, a 3,500-acre biodiversity hotspot that has been returned to nature through the actions of free roaming herbivores and the restoration of natural processes.

Home to many rare species such as turtle doves, nightingales and purple emperor butterflies and working with staff from the Knepp Wildland Foundation you will learn about Knepp’s amazing ecology and biodiversity and the principles of rewilding that has shaped this landscape.

Activities include a safari walk to explore the wildland, bird, reptile and mammal surveys. A chance to visit the white stork enclosure to learn about feeding and pen management, a practical land management day with the ranger, growers and landscape teams.

You will have a chance to observe the beavers in their pen and learn about their re-introduction. There will be evening walks to carry out bat and moth surveys with UV and thermal imagery and at least one early morning walk to experience the dawn chorus.

Throughout the week there will be plenty of opportunities for wildlife spotting. This is a full-on week of activities!
