Participants stay in woodland chalet accommodation at Fryland’s Wood Scout Outdoor Centre and work in a small group to learn about honey bees, other pollinators and their ecosystems.
The programme combines fieldwork—such as collecting samples for the UK Pollinator Monitoring Scheme—with hands?on beekeeping: identifying roles in a hive, observing hive behaviour and extracting honey.
Evening and outdoor activities, including use of the pizza oven, archery and axe throwing, are also part of the experience.
Accommodation, meals and equipment are provided; participants must bring their own sheet, pillow and sleeping bag.
