At Fresh Tracks we provide a practical, hands-on cookery course for young people preparing for a ski season as a chalet host. This 5-day residential course meets the requirements for the Gold DofE Residential section and offers a realistic experience of life as a chalet host.
Held in beautiful Polzeath, Cornwall, just five minutes from the beach, students enjoy a relaxed setting with comfortable accommodation, gym and tennis court access plus the amazing opportunity to learn to surf or enjoy the beach in their free time.
The chalet hosting course focuses on cooking breakfasts, afternoon teas, canapé, and three-course evening meals to chalet standards, alongside learning the key hosting and cleaning skills. Expert tutors with over 15 years’ experience and strong ski industry connections support students in finding jobs.
Courses are delivered in small domestic kitchen settings with class sizes limited to just 8 students per week, ensuring personalised guidance and support.
Courses include 5-nights accommodation with 5-days comprehensive tuition, all the equipment and ingredients for you to use, your food throughout your stay, including 3/4 course dinners every night.
