Our Full Open Gold Programme costs £699 if booked before 19/5/2026 (Full price £779). It includes a training course immediately followed by a practice expedition in Yorkshire in July. You then have the choice of an assessed expedition in the Lake District in August, or the Yorkshire Dales in October.
28 July – 1 August 2026: Training course and practice expedition in Yorkshire- Designed to provide you with the necessary training and preparation in a manageable block of time. The training course covers the full gold expedition syllabus, then the practice expedition follows immediately afterwards.
Assessed expedition option 1: 17 August – 21st August 2026 in the Lake District.
Assessed expedition option 2: 26 October – 30th October 2026 in the Yorkshire Dales.
We provide stoves, fuel, maps, compasses, first aid kit and tents. Items of personal kit (waterproofs, sleeping bags, rucksacks etc) are available on request. We offer support for with your route panning and other preparations in advance of the expedition, and facilitate the presentation at the end, to make sure that your expedition section is successfully completed.
