Pathfinders Camp provides adventurous, accessible camping holidays, catering for women aged 18 and over.
If you could help a disabled woman to have the time of her life on a well-equipped campsite, whilst making new friends along the way, we’d love to hear from you!
Our volunteer helpers ensure that mobility issues, physical and cognitive disabilities and sensory impairments need not be barriers to the sense of adventure, improved well-being, and great good fun that many people find through camping.
Working as a member of a small team, within a camp of nearly 100 people, you will provide personal assistance and the encouragement that enables a disabled camper to take part in a range of activities, which will include cooking over open fires, music making, swimming in the outdoor heated pool, aerial runway, arts and crafts, disco, treasure hunts and campfires.
This opportunity is ideal for someone aiming to enter nursing, caring, medical, or teaching professions. You will learn about disability, enhance your CV, and gain important life experiences that will stay with you.
If funding is an issue, we can provide bursaries. You will also learn that ability is more important than disability, and that we all have abilities.
