Pod Volunteer – Greece U18 Trip: Turtle & Conservation – Greece - the island of Kefalonia

A 1 week hands-on educational experience on a Greek island learning about the conservation of sea turtles, birds and natural ecosystems in October.

You will join a team of 20 volunteers aged between 16-18 years old and will get involved in conservation in Greece! Supported by team leaders from the UK who will be living with you on the beautiful island of Kefalonia.

Throughout the week there each day you will learn about and be involved in conservation activities, including a mountain national park survey, bird surveys, harbour surveys of adult turtles, drone surveys and a coastal clean-up. At your hotel you will be part of interactive educational presentations about turtles and conservation – you will return home a turtle and conservation expert!

In October you should get to see the beautiful adult turtles in the bay of Argostoli from the harbour front.

Accommodation is provided in shared rooms in a lovely family run hotel which is right by the coast and has a great outdoor area with pool, a perfect place to relax and enjoy the sunset! All meals are included.

There is also time to relax and enjoy the island, including a trip to an olive oil mill, relaxing on the beach and exploring the town of Argostoli.
