Booked separately, the cost of each expedition is £295. If both are booked together the cost is £570. Monthly payment plans can be arranged.
This fee includes an expedition guide, instructors, assessors, insurance, campsite fees, tents, stoves, fuel, first aid kits, waterproof maps and compasses. We also offer an online Q&A session before the expedition. You will need to provide your personal kit and food. Our guide has a kit list and useful information about what to bring as well as the types of tasty food that go down well on expedition.
The expeditions take place in South Wales.
Practice: 13th-16th April 2026
Start and finish: Abergavenny train station
The practice covers all the training you need to prepare for your qualifier.
Qualifier: 19th-23rd July 2026
Start and finish: Merthyr Tydfil train station
The qualifier is a friendly and supportive assessment of your learning from the practice expedition.
Both the start and finish are accessible by train and car.
