This summer school is ideal for anyone wanting to explore a range of contemporary topics in psychology, whilst getting a taste of what it’s like to study psychology at university.

You will form a critical understanding of some of the theories and methods used across a range of contemporary psychology topics.

During this summer school you will explore psychological theory across a range of everyday topics, such as psychology of addiction, psychology of conspiracy, psychology of sleep, psychology of sport, psychology of body perception.

You’ll engage in critical psychological thinking and discussion across important real-world topics that are relevant to them, evaluate the mechanisms of human behaviour and engage in the scientific practices involved in psychological research.

Throughout, you’ll have practical hands-on experience with specialist software used in psychology, and experience what studying psychology might be like at University.

Upon completing the course, you will be equipped with some of the background theoretical knowledge and skills essential even in year 1 study of psychology.

Please note that you must book the accommodation element along with the course to use this for your DofE Gold Residential. You will need to provide your own meals.
