Odyssians provides a chance to work with young adults with disabilities in a picturesque campsite located in Surrey. As part of a small team, you’ll support their individual needs while engaging in a variety of enjoyable camping activities and exciting offsite excursions.
Former DofE participants have referred to Odyssians as a “family community” and a “life-changing experience.” While the week presents its challenges and the days can be intense, you’re guaranteed to leave with new skills, lasting friendships, and a genuine sense of making a positive impact on others’ lives.
No prior experience working with adults with disabilities is necessary but a desire to learn skills in this area is expected. Training will be provided on arrival and you will be paired with a camper and experienced volunteer for the duration of the week. Additionally, a DofE mentor will be provided.
