The Derbyshire Children's Holiday Centre – Support children’s seaside residential – Volunteering – Skegness

Spend a life-changing week at our Skegness seaside centre, supporting children facing challenges while developing your leadership, teamwork and confidence.

Participants will join our team at a seaside residential centre in Skegness, supporting children aged 7–11 who may be facing challenges such as poverty, bereavement or difficult home circumstances.

As part of a supportive team of staff and volunteers, you will help deliver a fun, safe and structured holiday experience. This includes assisting with daytime activities such as beach trips, games, arts and crafts, and group challenges, as well as supporting routines like mealtimes, evening activities and bedtime.

You will play an important role in helping children feel safe, valued and included, building positive relationships and encouraging their confidence and independence throughout the week.

This is a hands-on, rewarding experience where you will develop key skills in teamwork, communication, leadership and working with children. You will also gain insight into safeguarding, behaviour support and inclusive practice.

Full training and support will be provided, and you will be part of a welcoming, friendly team. This residential offers a unique opportunity to make a genuine difference to young lives while growing your own confidence and skills.
