Harkness Roses introduces The Official Duke of Edinburgh Rose

Harkness Roses, breeders and growers of the finest British roses for more than 140 years, have launched a brand-new rose named after the Duke of Edinburgh, the longest serving consort in British history. A royalty from the sale of each rose will go to The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Living Legacy Fund.

This stunning new deep pink rose variety from Harkness Roses has been named after HRH The Prince Philip after he sadly passed away on the 9 April 2021. The Duke of Edinburgh, an inspirational and committed champion of young people, established The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award 65 years ago. The DofE became one of his most remarkable achievements; helping young people build life-long belief in themselves, supporting them to take on their own challenges, follow their own passions, and discover talents they never knew they had.

Since the DofE started, the Award has helped millions of young people prove to themselves that they’re ready for whatever life throws at them. To feel strong, powerful, limitless.
