Season It! Cookery Level 1 – Online Course Perfect for beginners and ideal for the DofE Bronze or Silver Skills section.
This flexible online cookery course helps young people gain essential life skills while having fun in the kitchen – and the whole family will be delighted with the results. Over 13 engaging sessions, students will learn how to plan meals, handle ingredients safely, follow recipes, and cook a range of delicious, seasonal dishes.
Each module includes a short video tutorial, clear written instructions, and practical tasks to complete at home – from making simple soups and pasta dishes to baking bread. Designed to be completed independently, the course allows learners to start anytime and work at their own pace, building confidence with every meal they make.
Students are encouraged to keep a cookery diary, photograph their creations and reflect on what they’ve learned. On completion, learners receive a personalised certificate and assessor’s report suitable for submission to the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award.
