This unique week-long residential at Bryntysilio Outdoor Education Centre offers young people the chance to explore and protect the natural world while earning their John Muir Award. Set in the stunning Dee Valley, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, participants will engage in hands-on conservation work, learn about Welsh ecology, and discover the importance of preserving both natural and historical landscapes like the Horseshoe Falls and Pontcysyllte Aqueduct.
Through immersive activities, students will explore wild spaces, deepen their understanding of biodiversity, and take part in meaningful action to protect areas of outstanding natural beauty. Alongside this, they’ll enjoy outdoor adventures and develop confidence, teamwork, and environmental awareness—all while working towards a recognised conservation award.
No previous experience is needed and the cost includes all food, accommodation, instruction, equipment, certification, and transport from local bus/train stations.
