Looking for an exciting and rewarding Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Skill? This programme takes you from a complete beginner to a qualified PADI Open Water Diver.

You’ll begin with classroom learning and pool sessions, where you’ll develop essential diving knowledge and skills, before progressing to open water dives at Vobster Quay in Frome. The programme also includes the PADI Drysuit Diver Specialty, allowing you to dive comfortably in cooler water and continue diving throughout the year.

On completion, you’ll gain an internationally recognised PADI Open Water Diver certification, valid for life, enabling you to dive anywhere in the world to a maximum depth of 18 metres. It’s a challenging and enjoyable skill that builds confidence, responsibility, and a real sense of adventure — ideal for DofE participants.
