SU Scotland Gowanbank – Cooking Skills Residential Week – Ayrshire, Scotland

This residential week offers the chance to learn cooking skills, boost your confidence in the kitchen, and work together as a team.

Join us at Gowanbank for a week of learning to cook, personal growth, and, most importantly, fun!

Through the week, we’ll learn the basics of cooking, including basic kitchen safety and food hygiene and we’ll plan and prepare meals and snacks. In the evenings we’ll all join together to reflect on the day, along with some downtime to socialise with others on the residential and make lasting friendships.

• All equipment needed for cooking
• Accommodation in shared en-suite rooms
• All bedding
• All meals – from dinner on Friday to dinner on Tuesday
• Meets all criteria for the Gold Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Residential section

Gowanbank has great transport links. Hop on a train or bus to Kilmarnock. There are regular trains to Kilmarnock from Glasgow and Carlisle. From Kilmarnock, catch Bus 1 through to Darvel/Newmilns which will drop you just a few minutes away from the centre.
