Complete your Gold DofE expedition with Summit Explorers on a four-day, three-night journey across the Peak District. Starting in Edale and finishing in Bakewell, participants will cross upland countryside while developing resilience, leadership, independence and outdoor skills.

Participants will travel in small teams, navigate independently, camp for three nights and work together to complete their expedition aim. The route provides a challenging Gold-level journey through hills, valleys and remote landscapes, creating a rewarding conclusion to their expedition experience.

Our experienced leaders provide safety supervision and remote support while giving each team the independence required by the DofE expedition framework. Participants completing their qualifier will be assessed throughout their journey by an accredited DofE assessor.

These expeditions can be completed as either a practice or qualifying expedition. They are ideal for individual participants, friends attending together, or young people who have missed an expedition or cannot complete it through their school or DofE centre. Individual bookings will be matched with a team.

The £200 fee includes campsite fees, group equipment, remote tracking, supervision and assessment where required. Two date options are available during July, providing flexibility around commitments and summer holiday plans.
