Complete your Gold DofE expedition with Summit Explorers on a four-day, three-night circular journey through the Shropshire Hills. Starting and finishing in Church Stretton, participants will cross the Long Mynd, Stiperstones and surrounding valleys while developing resilience, leadership and outdoor skills.
Participants will travel in small teams, navigate independently, camp for three nights and work together to complete their expedition aim. The route provides a challenging Gold-level experience across remote moorland, ridges and rural landscapes, with a sense of journey and achievement.
Our experienced leaders provide safety supervision and remote support while giving each team the independence required by the DofE expedition framework. Participants completing their qualifier will be assessed throughout their journey by an accredited DofE assessor.
This expedition can be completed as either a practice or qualifying expedition. It is ideal for individual participants, friends attending together, or young people who have missed an expedition or cannot complete it through their school or DofE centre. Individual bookings will be matched with a team.
Personal expedition equipment can be hired for a charge. Starting and finishing in Church Stretton provides rail access for participants.
