Each week, you’ll complete around one hour of guided practice through our online platform, which tracks your practice time, speed, accuracy and progress. Your tutor reviews your results and sends you personalised feedback, practical tips and a tailored plan for the week ahead, so you always know exactly what to work on.

You’ll receive a Welcome Pack through the post containing:

• a colour-coded USB keyboard
• a printed activity booklet
• reward stickers

The course builds strong muscle memory through structured repetition, games and mini-challenges. You’ll learn correct finger placement, all letters, punctuation, numbers, symbols and dictation, developing accuracy, speed and confidence.

The 13-week course is for participants completing their DofE Skills section for three months. This is usually Bronze, or Silver when Physical is the six-month section.

On completion, you’ll receive a certificate and prize. Typeify will submit your Assessor’s Report directly through eDofE, and you’ll have six additional months of platform access to continue practising.

The course is suitable for complete beginners and learners of all abilities, including those who thrive with routine, structure or individual guidance. Touch typing is a lifelong skill that can support academic work, digital confidence and future employment.
