The Power of 10 Roots of Change programme gives young people the opportunity to explore their passion for climate and environmental action and turn their ideas into meaningful change.
Participants will take part in regular virtual calls with like-minded young people, sharing ideas, learning from each other and working collaboratively on challenges and projects. Throughout the programme, they will complete a series of mini missions designed to encourage practical action within their school, home or community.
Participants will also hear from guest speakers working across the sector giving them insight into different career paths and approaches to creating change.
Young people will develop practical skills including research, communication, storytelling, project planning, teamwork, presentation and leadership. They will be encouraged to identify an issue they care about and use their developing skills to create a climate or environmental communication, event, campaign or action.
The programme culminates in participants sharing or delivering their work, giving them the opportunity to demonstrate their skills, celebrate their achievements and inspire others to take action.
