As part of Edukid’s Global Citizenship volunteering programme, young people will learn about global issues affecting children and communities around the world and take practical action to help make a difference.
The volunteering is completed remotely and involves choosing ways to support Edukid’s work. This can include researching global issues, learning about Edukid’s projects, raising awareness among friends, family or the wider community, creating and sharing promotional content, organising fundraising activities and helping to promote Edukid’s campaigns.
Young people will be encouraged to take responsibility for their own volunteering and develop their own ideas for how they can contribute. They will keep a record of their activities and reflect on what they have learned and the impact of their work.
Throughout the programme, volunteers will develop valuable skills including communication, organisation, teamwork, creativity, leadership, research and fundraising. The experience is designed to help young people become more aware of global citizenship while making a positive contribution to Edukid’s work supporting children and communities internationally.
